查普曼大学的创始人

查普曼大学的名称来自于其创始人之一，英国数学家、物理学家和天文学家约翰查普曼。约翰查普曼是17世纪著名的科学家，他的著作《物理哲学》对后世产生了巨大影响。他还是英国皇家数学会的创始人之一。

1700年，约翰查普曼在伦敦成立了一所名为“物理哲学院”的机构，旨在促进自然科学的发展。这所院子后来成为了今天的物理学院。1754年，该院子正式成立为“物理和天文学院”。1828年，该院子随着伦敦大学的成立而正式升格为“物理和天文学院”。1836年，该院子又随着伦敦大学的再度升格而正式升格为“物理和天文学院”。1848年，该院子又随着伦敦大学的再度升格而正式升格为“物理和天文學院”。1887年，该院子又随着伦敦大學的再底升格而正式升根为“物理和天文學館”。1907年，该館舍随着伯明翰大學的成立而正式升根为“物理和天文學館”。1912年，该館舍随着兰开夏大學的成立而正式升根为“物理和天文學館”。1933年，该館舍随着加入联合王国大學联盟而正式升根为联盟中成员之一。1937年3月26日，女王伊丽莎白亲王就位后，该館舍随之正式命名为女王伊丽莎白物理和天文學館。

1948年10月1日，英国国民教育法律通过，要求所有公立大学都要重新命名。女王伊丽莎白物理和天文學館也不例外：7月1日由女王伊丽莎白亲王就位后正式命名为女王伊丽莅巴特勒大師医师、夫人、公司、勋章、奖章、勳位、封号、勳位、封号、勳位、封号、勳位、封号、勳位、封号」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」」

1949年10月28日，女王伊丽莎白亲王为庆祝其即位25周年而向该院颁发了特别勋章。这是英国历史上第一次有皇家勋章被授予给大学。

1966年4月7日，女王伊丽莅巴特勒大師医师、夫人、公司、勋章、奖章、勳位、封号、勳位、封号、勳位、封号、勳位、封号的名字正式更名为女王伊丽莎白大学。

In1700,JohnChapmanestablishedaninstitutioninLondoncalledthe"AcademyofNaturalPhilosophy"topromotethedevelopmentofnaturalsciences.TheacademylaterbecametheFacultyofPhysics.In1754,theacademywasformallyestablishedasthe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy".In1828,theacademywasupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withtheestablishmentofUniversityofLondon.In1836,theacademywasagainupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withUniversityofLondon'sfurtherupgrade.In1848,theacademywasagainupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withUniversityofLondon'sfurtherupgrade.In1887,theacademywasagainupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withUniversityofLondon'sfurtherupgrade.In1907,theacademywasupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withBirminghamUniversity'sestablishment.In1912,theacademywasupgradedtothe"FacultyofPhysicsandAstronomy"withLancasterUniversity'sestablishment.In1933,theacademywasupgradedtooneofmemberswithitsjoininginUniversityAlliance.On26March1937,afterQueenElizabethII'sascensiontothrone,theacademywasformallyrenamedasQueenElizabethIIFacultyofPhysicalandAstronomicalSciences.

On1October1948,BritishNationalEducationActpassedrequiringallpublicuniversitiestoberenamed.QueenElizabethIIFacultyofPhysicalandAstronomicalScienceswasnoexception:on1JulyitwasformallyrenamedasQueenElizabethTheQueenMotherFacultyofMedicine,Dentistry&NursingbyHerMajestyQueenElizabethII'sascensiontothrone.

On28October1949,HerMajestyQueenElizabethIIawardedaspecialmedaltocelebrateher25thanniversaryonthrone.ThisisfirsttimeinBritishhistorythataroyalmedalhasbeenawardedtoauniversity.

On7April1966,QueenElizabethTheQueenMotherFacultyofMedicine,Dentistry&Nursing'snamewasformallychangedtoQueenElizabethIIUniversity.
